Dorothy L. Bannister

Bannister, Dorothy L. (Donovan) of Braintree, died August 10, 2016.

Beloved wife of 65 years to William F. Bannister of Braintree. Devoted mother of Bill Bannister and his wife, Jackie, of North Andover, Carol Fleming and her husband, Andrew, of Medford, Susan Fabbri of Andover and Bobby Bannister and his wife, Heather, of Pembroke. Loving sister of the late Frank Donovan. Cherished Nana to 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

Dot was the ultimate homemaker, taking great pride in her family and her home.  She was dedicated to children of all ages and abilities and took much pleasure in teaching many to swim. Dot will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
