Dorothy Kalland

Kalland, Dorothy (Dick) “Dotty” of Weymouth, died November 11, 2014.

Dotty was born, raised, and educated in South Boston. She met her husband Frank and they were married in 1958. They then moved to Weymouth where they wanted to start and raise their family. They were married for 42 years until he passed away in 2001.  Dorothy stayed in Weymouth surrounded by her family and friends.  She worked at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester for several years as a purchasing agent. Dot enjoyed traveling to Arizona  and going on cruises, but was happiest on her trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas.  She will be missed dearly for her big heart and how she always put others first.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Kalland. Loving mother to John Kalland of Weymouth, Robert Kalland of Weymouth, Karen Deady and her husband Jim of Weymouth, and Janet McAuliffe and her husband John of Weymouth, Sister to Mary Wilson of Arizona. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11:00 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
