Dorothy A. Hooper

Hooper, Dorothy A. (Barilaro) of Weymouth, passed away on October 17, 2024. She was 84. Dorothy was an avid drawer and enjoyed being around people and animals. She was a hairdresser before working at Shaw’s Supermarket in the meat department for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Donald C. Hooper. Devoted mother of Melanie Pyne of Weymouth and her late companion Robert Power, Ellyn Jara and her husband Jonathan of Quincy and the late Karen Lane and her husband Adam of Holbrook. Cherished Nana of Nicholaus Ripley and his wife Emilija, Katie Lane-DeLue and her spouse Gavin and Christopher Lane and his fiancé Emile Ypperciel. Loving sister to Joan Bono of Plymouth and her late husband Ronald. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Joseph Nicum, Mary Ronaghan, Jack and Diane Egan all of Weymouth and Barbara and Kyle Angelo of Braintree.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, October 27 from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11:30 AM Monday, October 28, prior to the burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM.
