Dorothy G. (Newcomb) Brown of Weymouth, died August 22, 2014 at the age of 97.

Dorothy’s warmth and welcoming spirit earned her the nickname of “Nanna Brown” to countless children in the neighborhood.

Wife of the late late William E. Brown. Loving mother of Richard Petersen of FL, Stanley Petersen of ME, Douglas Petersen of Quincy, Billie Ann Brown of Weymouth, Peggie Werra of Weymouth and the late Sandra Brown-Colby. Sister of the late Francis  Newcomb. She was the cherished “Nana” of 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by granddaughters Stacey Petersen and Judy Bonovich.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles St. (corner of Charles & Middles Streets), Weymouth. Burial in Plain Street Cemetery, Braintree.
