Richardson, Dorothy Elaine (McIntosh) of Hingham, was born December 27, 1928 in Holbrook, Massachusetts to Daniel H. and Mary Isabelle (Griffin) McIntosh. She was predeceased by her older sister Helen Milbury (Leon).
She was married to Bruce A. Richardson, who predeceased her in 1989. She was the beloved mother of Daniel N.Richardson (Maureen) of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Calvin B. Richardson of Hingham, with whom she resided. Elaine had two grandchildren: Kevin A. Richardson (Sharon) of Durham, North Carolina, and Katherine A. Weeks (Marcus) of Concord,New Hampshire. She also had three great-grandsons: Jack and Ryan Richardson, and Connor Weeks.
Elaine loved her family and her faith. Her grandchildren have fond memories of Grammie Elaine playing the piano, decorating the Christmas tree with so much tinsel that it looked like space ship, and of her extraordinary cooking skills.She was small in stature but mighty in spirit. She was blessed with class and grace.
Elaine was an amazing pianist, having spent many years playing for the dancers at Hazel Boone’s School of Dance.
She was an active member of Resurrection Church in Hingham. She loved spending time with the many friends she met there.
She was a modest and loving woman who will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Mass Tuesday April 4th in the Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM, burial to follow at 12:45 in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elaine may be made to a charity of your choice.
