Ryan, Dorothy E. (Wells) of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, January 30, 2002 in her 94th year. Wife of the late Cornelius J. Ryan. Loving mother of Constance A. Ryan of Quincy, Deacon Kenneth N. Ryan of Braintree & Wallingford, CT., William P. Ryan of Westwood, Cornelius J. Ryan of Belchertown, Walter V. Ryan of Milton, Dorothy E. Skelly of Sutton, Gregory L. Ryan of So. Yarmouth and the late Marilyn T. Gibson. Sister of Florence McKenna of West Roxbury, Thomas Wells of Holliston, Mary E.. Cahill of Newport, RI, William Wells of Westerly, RI, James Wells of Walpole, Leo Wells of Pocasset, Joan Phillips of Plainville, Claire Sloane of West Roxbury and the late Charles Wells, Edward M. Wells, Jr., Anna Norton, Walter Wells and Margaret Gobbi. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 3-8 PM. Burial in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Dorothy was active in in the senior citizens group at St. Ann’s Church in Quincy. She also campaigned for Mayor Arthur Tobin. Her late husband was the former business manager for local #4 hoist engineers.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to The Laboure Center New Building Fund, 371 West Fourth Street, South Boston, MA 02127.
