Barry, Dorothy E. (Bowles) of Abington, formerly of Quincy, May 29, 2008. Beloved wife of William P. Barry, Jr. of Abington. Loving mother of John, Janet, both of Quincy, Patricia Smalley of Dorchester, Patrick, William P., III, both of Abington, Susan and Carolyn, both of Quincy, and the late James Barry. Sister of William Bowles of Quincy, Mary Demitri, John Bowles, both of Wareham, and the late Theresa Crawford, James and Robert Bowles. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy’s family and home meant everything to her. She was very proud to have purchased her first house with her husband five years ago. Mrs. Barry took great care in decorating her home, especially for Christmas. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and, arts & crafts. Dorothy graduated from Dorchester High School. She was a caring, selfless, determined and generous person who will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Mrs. Barry may be made to the Brockton VNA, 500 Belmont St., #200 Brockton, MA 02301.
