McCabe, Dorothy (Collins) “Dotty”, 81, of Weymouth, died May 24, 2014.
Dotty was born and raised in South Boston and eventually settled in Weymouth where she and her husband Leo raised a family. She worked for New England Telephone and retired after 25 years. Dotty was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and among many interests, mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Dotty was predeceased by her loving husband Leo McCabe. Dotty is survived by her son Mark McCabe and his companion Marlene Herman of Plymouth. Dotty was also predeceased by her sisters who remained very dear to her throughout life Mary McSweeny, Kathleen Therese Murray, Lillian Fife, and Helen Frances Collins. Beloved grandmother to Jessica and Kevin. Dotty is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, and cousins, a special thank you to her niece Eileen Ryan who helped care for her in recent years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
