Dorothy A. Conte

Conte, Dorothy A. (Longo) of Hingham, January 1, 2008. Beloved wife of Emilio A. Conte. Loving mother of Thomas O. and his wife Janet Conte of Lake Village, Ark., Steven L. and his wife Laura Conte of Chelmsford and Ann E. Conte-Somers and her husband Roy of Hingham. Sister of Louis Longo of Cohasset and Constance Mancini of Stoneham. Devoted “Nana” of Christopher Conte, Abigail Shattuck, both of Alabama, Travis Somers of Hingham, Catherine and Elizabeth Conte, both of Chelmsford. Dorothy grew up in Cohasset. In high school she played softball and was a star basketball player. She worked as an operator for New England Telephone before raising her family. While her children attended St. Paul School in Hingham, she volunteered for many of the school’s activities and was a charter member of their PTO. She also worked as a kitchen aid at the East School in Hingham and at Conte’s dress shop. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and was an avid Bingo player. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
