Doris R. Walsh

Walsh, Doris R. (Kelleher) of Weymouth, 83, died September 26, 2013. 

Doris was a proud graduate of Simmons College class of 1952, the first in her family to attend college.  She worked as a librarian, most recently in the Easton Public Schools system.  She took great pleasure in spending time with those she loved, and enjoyed cooking, especially for family holiday gatherings. Doris enjoyed reading, taking walks through the neighborhood, and the company of her pets. She will be sadly missed.

Pre-deceased by the love of her life, John H. Walsh, Jr.  Beloved mother of Kevin M. Walsh and his wife Maureen of Weymouth.  Devoted grandmother of Dennis, Timothy, Gregory Walsh and the late Ellen Marie and Brian Walsh.  Loving daughter of the late John and Mary (Healy) Kelleher.  Caring sister of the late Helen, Marie and Joan Kelleher. Doris leaves behind her cousin Mary Seaver and her husband Gene of Brockton, along with other relatives and friends locally and in Ireland.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
