Poznysz, Doris I. (Lord) of Haverhill, July 2, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Brunislaw “Ben” Poznysz. Loving mother of Richard Poznysz and his wife Barbara of Mattapoisett, and Jeanne Dignan and her husband Patrick of Groveland. Loving sister of the late Stanley Lord of Venice, FL. Cherished grandmother of Christine Wilk of and her husband Brian of Hingham, Michael Poznysz of Wareham, Bridget Dignan of WV, Emily Donegan and her husband Joseph of Charlotte, VT and Stephanie Dignan and her fiance Tyler Zbinden of Boston. Great grandmother of Catherine Wilk, Andrew Wilk, Thomas Wilk, Patrick Donegan and Franklin Donegan. Doris was a graduate of New Bedford High School and the Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in Fall River, MA. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps in World War II. Mrs. Poznysz worked as a nurse in Fall River, Quincy, and Beverly, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A funeral service will follow at 5 PM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in memory of Doris may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
