Doris C. Mcgonigle-Sapia

Doris McGonigle-Sapia (Geden) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died December 26, 2010 after a brief illness. A beloved wife, mother, mother -in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was a very gentle, loving and selfless woman that cared deeply for her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years Mike Sapia and her children, Karen MacDonald of Rockland, Michael McGonigle of Humarock, Joan McGonigle of Quincy all originally of Dorchester and the late John McGonigle and their half sister Kristen McGonigle-Keenan. Doris is survived by her 5 grandchildren LeeAnn, Kim, Theresa, Matthew and Conor and her 7 great grandchildren Andrew, Jenna, Nathan, Kiera, Kaylee, Haley and Jose. She is also survived by her brothers Joe Geden of Stoughton and Arthur Geden of Rockland and sisters Louise McBrine of Braintree and Ruth Malloy of Ohio and the late William Geden. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Geden. Doris will be deeply missed by all that knew her, she touched many lives over her 77 years and had a very strong catholic faith. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday, Dec. 30, from 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 9:15am prior to the Funeral Mass at St. John’s Church, 44 School St. Quincy at 10am. Burial will be at Knollwood Memorial Park, 319 High Street, Canton immediately following the mass.
