Donna M. Doherty

Donna Marie Doherty, loving mother, grandmother and friend, passed into eternal life on October 14th, 2015. A dutiful employee of the Town of Hull, Donna was a diligent caretaker, a consummate lover of life and a woman of true and pure love. Born and raised in Hingham, she was the daughter of the late James J. Doherty, Lieutenant Detective in the Hingham Police Department, as well as Audrey A. (Ferris) Doherty, also of Hingham. She also had a loving sister, Susan (Doherty) Kiggen who preceded her in death.  

Through her journey in life, Donna was well known to care for others. From the smallest favors of simply checking in on friends to taking in extended family and letting them stay with her for long periods of times, her kind and giving spirit consistently shone through upon everyone who was fortunate to know her. 

Donna is survived by her loving sons, James Doherty of Colorado and Bernard James Hoelschen and his wife Brianne of Rockland, as well as a grand-daughter, Chloe of Colorado. She is also survived by many caring family friends, including Melissa Condry and her daughters Maddie Koury and Julia Hussey, Carol Dunn and her children Michael, Jeffrey and Robin, as well as countless others. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, October 18th from 1-5 PM at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home in Hingham, Massachusetts.  Internment will be private.
