Donna Lee Defranc

DeFranc, Donna Lee of Templeton, formerly of Quincy, unexpectedly passed away January 25, 2015 at the age of 59. 

Donna graduated from North Quincy High School, class of 1974. Most recently, she worked with the mentally and physically challenged at Templeton Developmental Center. In the past, she worked as a waitress at Mug and Muffin in Quincy (now Newcomb Farms), as a manager at Burger King in East Milton, and she later waitressed at IHOP in Randolph. She also spent some time working with the Meals on Wheels program. Donna loved to go to the Country Store to sit at the round table with friends to drink coffee, socialize, and read the newspaper. She was known for her love of black coffee and candy bars. She enjoyed walking along Lake Dennison, going to the flea market at Rietta Ranch in Hubbardston, and watching Lifetime movies and the Hallmark Channel. She was a sweet, caring person who loved animals. She was very generous and giving, and loved helping others in any way she could. Her family and friends were very important to her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Dalton) DeFranc. Beloved mother of John DeFranc, and his wife, Alexis, of Boxford, and the late Cassandra “Cassie” Wilkins. Cherished sister of Cathy Weikel, and her husband, Robert, of Weymouth. Devoted Nana of Victoria DeFranc.  Loving niece of MaryAnn Hughes of Foxboro. Aunt of Shawn, Alissa, and Mark Weikel. Also survived by her cousins Paul and Gerard DeFranc, Robin Hughes, and Pamela Rogan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 10 AM-12PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a celebration of life service at 12 PM. Burial will be private.
