Donna Flaherty

Donna Flaherty, of Rockland, formerly of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on May 4, 1943, Donna was known for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering dedication to her community and family.

For many years, Donna served as a devoted clerk at Thayer Pharmacy-CVS on Bridge Street, North Weymouth, where she built lasting relationships with customers who walked through the door. She knew everyone by name and was a comforting presence in their lives, embodying the essence of community connection.

Donna's love for her family was evident in the cherished memories they created together. She relished family vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee, where laughter and joy resonated through the warm summer air. Her summers were also filled with splashes and smiles, as her pool became a gathering place for neighborhood kids.

A hard worker by nature, Donna was social and enjoyed bringing people together. Her personality shone brightly during her monthly meet-ups with her close-knit group of friends, affectionately dubbed "the club." These gatherings were filled with stories, laughter, and cherished moments.

Donna is remembered for her forthrightness—she always spoke her mind, and her authenticity endeared her to many. Among her proudest accomplishments were her children and family, who meant everything to her. She cherished the bonds she formed and took immense pride in being a loving mother and family member.

Donna is predeceased by her husband Michael Flaherty Jr of North Weymouth Loving mother of Joy Marie Flaherty, Brian Flaherty, Jon Flaherty and the late Michael Flaherty and Patrick Flaherty. Cherished grandmother of Eaamon and Jodi Shaughnessy and great grand son Ozzy Shaughnessy. Caring daughter to late Leonard and Mary Conley of South Boston. Sister to Lauren Cribbin and her husband John of Everett , sister in law to Anne Marie Flaherty Thompson and William Flaherty and his wife Lynn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donna Flaherty’s legacy of love, laughter, and community spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4/29/2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square). Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday 4/30/2025 at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH , Weymouth. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
