Donna Dudik, 73, of Weymouth, MA passed away after a brief illness on April 21, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ to Kathryn and George Dudik she grew up in Neptune on the Jersey Shore. She graduated from St. Rose High School, Belmar, NJ and St. Peter’s Nursing School, New Brunswick, NJ.
Donna worked as a registered nurse at Boston Medical Center, taking excellent care of her patients for over 30 years in highly specialized intensive care units. She was an active member of the Massachusetts Nursing Association, participating in their lobbying and legislative activities; a devoted parishioner at Sacred Heart Church; an energetic member of the Weymouth & South Shore Democratic Club; a participant for years in Weymouth’s Boy Scouts - Troop 19 activities; the local garden club; and she supported many local charitable endeavors.
Donna enjoyed planting and harvesting an extensive vegetable and herb garden annually. She delighted in cooking for friends and making recipes reflecting her Ukrainian-Italian heritage. She loved her role as a grandmother, frequently visiting the grandchildren; teaching them to cook; reading them stories; showering them with presents; and taking them to historical and fun places.
Donna is survived by her son Eric Kemenes and wife Kim of Montreal, Canada and grandchildren Greta and Huck; son Curt Kemenes of Weymouth, MA and grandchild Lena Clark of Portland, ME; sister, Janet and husband Herb Bunchman of Brick, NJ; several beloved cousins; and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home- 40 Sea Street, North Weymouth, MA on Sunday, May, 4th from 2 PM to 6 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 5th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Weymouth, MA. In lieu of flowers, any donations in Donna’s memory can be made to The MSPCA or Planned Parenthood.
