Donald "Zig" Zamagni

Donald P. Zamagni (Zig), 75, of Weymouth, MA, passed away on January 11, 2025.

Born and raised in Dorchester and Quincy, Zig lived a life defined by hard work, family, and a deep love for the water. A skilled glazier and proud member of Local 1044, he was known for his craftsmanship and dedication. Zig’s love for the outdoors was reflected in his passion for lake life, boating, and golf. One of his greatest achievements was building a beautiful log home on Long Lake in Maine, a place where he and his family created countless memories. His legacy lives on through his three sons, who learned from him the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family.

Zig is survived by his beloved wife Donna, his three sons: Dan Zamagni and his fiancé Brie of Weymouth, Peter Zamagni and his wife Meg of Weymouth, and David Zamagni and his wife Jess of Marshfield, and the proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Hannah, Hadley, Griffin, Landon, Rowen, and Peyton. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Zamagni of Braintree.

A private service will be held for immediate family only.

However, to honor Zig’s life, friends and family are invited to join us for an open house celebration of life on Thursday, January 16th, 2025 from 1 PM - 4 PM at the Sons of Italy, 120 Quarry Street, Quincy, MA.
