DiFazio, Donald V. of Weymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 13. Donald was born in Boston and grew up in Quincy Point.
Beloved husband of Susan (Whiting) DiFazio of Weymouth. Cherished father of Danielle Light and her husband Ernie of Abington, Christopher DiFazio of Abington, Donald DiFazio, Jr. of Boston and Andréa DiFazio of Weymouth. Brother of Anthony DiFazio and his wife Pamela of Garland, TX, Robert DiFazio and his wife Margaret of E. Bridgewater and Paul DiFazio of Dedham. Proud Grandfather of three and Great-Grandfather of one.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, a long time employee of The Patriot Ledger and also worked part-time at Roche Brothers during his retirement. He enjoyed weightlifting in his younger years, drawing and painting, spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and was an avid New England Patriots fan. Donald loved people and often could be found making new friends wherever he went.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, February 20, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH, 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s memory to: Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Development Office/ Lung Research Center, 116 Huntington Ave. 3rd Floor, Boston, MA 02116.
