Donald J. Skilton

Donald J. Skilton of Weymouth, passed away at home on April 27, 2023.

Donald was born in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1949. He later graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He worked at General Dynamics in the Naval Architect Department. Don was a bird enthusiast. He carved and painted birds and also completed seminars in bird biology from Cornell Lab of Ornithology. He enjoyed hiking, cruising, and traveling. 

Beloved husband of 58 years of Louise (Cheney) Skilton. Devoted father of the late Carolyn Skilton. Brother of Sally Woodis of South Carolina and the late Pauline Fitch of Gloucester. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Friday from 11AM-12PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A graveside service in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth will follow. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to Sierra Club Foundation.
