McCarthy, Donald J. of Quincy, died August 2, 2016. Donald was born in Quincy but a lifelong resident of Dorchester. Donald was a proud U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed golf and the outdoors. Son of the late Joseph and Mary McCarthy. Father of Patrick McCarthy. Brother of Daniel S. McCarthy of Quincy, Kathleen Berry of FL, Thomas McCarthy of FL and the late Maureen Cook. Grandfather of Aubrey. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 7 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. A private burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
