Donald J. Green

Green, Donald J. of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died on July 25, 2009. Husband of the late Mary F. (Driscoll) Green. Father of Donna McCarthy of Weymouth, Karen Sabbag and Donald J. Green, Jr. both of Quincy. Brother of Dorothy Fredey of Weymouth, Evelyn McDonald and William Green both of Abington and the late John Green, Alice Trainor, Joseph, Thomas and Robert Green. Donald is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Born in South Boston, Donald and grew up in Dorchester. A proud W.W.II Army veteran, he was a member of the McKeon Post in Dorchester, an avid bowler and Red Sox fan. Donald was a member of the teamsters local and worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed spending his winters in Ruskin Florida for the past 17 years. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
