Donald J. “Don Mac” Mcnicol

McNicol, Donald J. “Don Mac” of North Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 22, 2021. 

Beloved husband of 60 years to Gail Anderson McNicol of North Weymouth, MA. Father of Donald J. McNicol of North Weymouth, MA and Marci A. McNicol, APRN of Dorchester, MA. Cherished Grampa of Stephanie and Kevin McNicol and Sophia, Tabitha, Alicia and Robert Reitano. Adored Great Grampa of Abigail Weiden. Brother of Bruce F. McNicol of Quincy, MA. Also survived by nieces and nephews. 

Don grew up in Quincy Point and attended Quincy Public Schools. “Don Mac Entertainment”, his business for over 50 years, booked events featuring The Temptations, The Monkees, Barry Banilow, Herb Reed and The Platters, The G-Clefs and many local talents including his favorite local band, Upfront. Don was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton, MA where he had many loving friends and coworkers, working in the pro-shop well into his retirement. In addition to golfing, Don enjoyed fishing, traveling and his many pets, especially his best friend and beloved beagle named Bella. Don will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH, MA at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).  Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 7 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH. MA.  Cremation will follow.
