Dekas, Donald J. of Scituate, formerly of Hull on September 12, 2002 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Ann M. ( Mills) Dekas . Father of Donna M. Tainter of W. Roxbury, Patricia D. Croteau of FL, Dawn M. Dekas of Weymouth. Step- Father of Cheryl A. Bryson of Quincy, Lee Hovestadt & Kelly Botana both of Weymouth and Edward Hovestadt of Lincoln. Brother of James Dekas of Brighton, Theresa Lallier of CT, Agnes Scoutin of Reading, John Dekas of NY and Robert Dekas of St. Louis, MO and the late Harriett Alden, Francis Dekas and Constance Willard. Donald is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Dekas may be made to Hospice of the South Shore 100 Baystate Drive P.O. Box 9060 Braintree, MA 02184. Mr. Dekas’ military career began with the United States Navy , he served also in the Navy reserved as well as the United States Coast Guard serving a total of 22 years in the military.
