Dominic D’Allessandro died peacefully in his home on February 3, 2025 at the age of 74 after battling many years of Congestive Heart Failure. Dominic grew up in Weymouth, MA. He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University and webmaster certification from Clark University. He married Jane Moran 42 years ago and raised his family of five in Weymouth MA. Dominic was a hobbyist, enthusiastic model builder and competitive footballer. He built remote control airplanes, helicopters and raced cars where he won many trophies. With football as his passion he went on from being a player to officiating high school games for 20 years. Dom played the saxophone as a teen in a band called “The Strangers”. His love for music and dancing had him and his wife Jane taking ballroom dance lessons with the neighbors. He was sure to let loose on the dance floor. Dominic loved to be social and was a lifetime member of the Weymouth /Braintree Elks, the Eagles, The Son’s of Italy and the Moose. He loved fundraising for the veterans, children and any new cause that needed help. His most favorite times were Christmas with family, motorcycle rides with his wife and trips with friends!!!
Dominic is survived by his wife Jane D’Allessandro, his three children, Janeen Ngo, Corin Sotiriadis and Dominic D’Allessandro; Four grandchildren Lola, Troy, Savanah and Maverick; brother Tony DAllessandro and sister Barbara D’Allessandro. He was the son of the late Angelo and Edith D’Allessandro, brother of the late Carl and Donald D’Allessandro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 2/10/2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday 2/11/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dominic may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284 or the American Red Cross, 100 Cummings Center, Suite 207-F1, Beverly, MA 01915.
