Domingas Gomes

Gomes, Domingas (DaRosa) of Weymouth, passed away on  June 11, 2017.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, Domingas resided in Weymouth for many years. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth and enjoyed sewing and knitting items for those less fortunate. She took comfort in reading the Bible and putting its lessons to work in her day to day life. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Beloved wife of the late Artur M. Gomes. Loving mother of Anthony J. Gomes and his wife, Gladys, of Hollywood, FL, Chemo “Jim” Gomes and his late wife, Marilyn, of Braintree, Aldo “Jimmy” Gomes and his wife, Sharon of Weymouth, the late Maria Zinha Gomes, and Maria “Lena” Pinheiro and her husband, Louis, of Weymouth. Sister of the late Ina Fonseca and Adelino DaRosa and his wife, Eva, of Weymouth. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in  Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree
