Domenic Russo

Domenic Russo, age 69 of East Weymouth passed away on March 4, 2017 after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Weymouth, he was the youngest son of Domenic and Mary (Rosetti) Russo. In 1966 Domenic was drafted in the Vietnam War and proudly served his country stationed in Korea. Some of the medals and decorations he received were the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksman Badge Rifle M14. After the military most of his career was as a Sergeant at Raytheon, an aerospace and defense company. Once retired, spending time on his boat, riding his motorcycle, traveling, watching football and collecting model trains were some of his favorite things to do. To those of us who loved him he brought much happiness into our lives, and would never hesitate to help in any way he could. Domenic was a true gentleman and a kind, easy going soul who loved most spending time with his family.

He is survived by his brothers, Neil and his wife Sylvia of Weymouth, Richard and his wife Marie of Quincy, and Robert and his wife Mildred of Weymouth. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews and his best friend (and honorary brother) Peter Banta and his wife Gail of Weymouth.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
