Dolores A (Cambria) Calabro of Abington, formerly of Quincy passed peacefully in her sleep on November 8, 2024 at the age of 79.
Dolores was a woman of immense faith and strength. On Sundays, her love of cooking and family gatherings often brought people together, some invited and some not. Dolores enjoyed the festivities that came with each holiday but had a specific love affair for Halloween.
She was the wife of the late Michael Calabro. She will be dearly missed by her son, Christopher DiFazio of Abington, Danielle Light of Abington, and Michael Calabro of Louisiana. Dolores was one of four sisters and is survived by her sister Valerie Handschiegl of Weymouth. Dolores is lovingly survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, 11/14/ 2024 from 6-8 PM in the Mcdonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 11:15 AM on Friday 11/15/2024, and then proceeded to blue Hill cemetery in Braintree for a graveside service at 12:30 PM.
Donations in memory of Dolores may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
