Hughson, Diane Peterson (Ashrey) of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Hull, entered into eternal rest, suddenly, December 19, 2004. Beloved wife of George Hughson. Loving mother of Karen & her husband George Riccio of Hull, Leslie & her husband Eddie Earle of Roslindale, Paul Peterson & his wife Deb of Enola, PA, and Lisa Peterson & her husband Ramon Raagas of Cambridge. Loving “Grandma” of Matthew, Jason, Kristen, & Danielle Riccio; Tiffany, Joshua, & Christopher Earle; and Gabriel & Lucas Raagas. Sister of Elliot Ashrey of NYC. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Thursday at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery. Diane died suddenly on December 19, 2004. She was currently working as a probation officer for the District of Columbia. Earlier, she worked as a corrections officer for the MA Depatment of Corrections at Walpole and also for the District of Columbia department of corrections. While living in Hull, she was house manager and later director of Project Turnabout (an adult live in drug treatment facility). Also, she was a member of Hull Beautification, the Hull Garden Club, Hull Democratic Town Committee, was active in Hull politics, and volunteered for the Channel 2 Auction. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
