Diane M. St. Laurent

Diane M. St. Laurent  (Amonte) of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham died October 19, 2015 at the age of 68.

Diane lived most of her life in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School in 1966. After graduation, she worked for the phone company for several years and later worked as a medical administration assistant for Dr. Seery, a pediatrician, in Cohasset. Always active, Diane assisted with Hingham town elections for many years and was a secretary and teacher for St. Paul’s Religious Education office for several years. She was a member of the Hingham Son’s of Italy and had served as president of the women’s lodge. Diane is described as welcoming, warm and extremely generous. She had a gift relating with children and was “born to be a grandmother”. Diane was a true supporter of the U.S. Military and Veterans. She served as the family support group leader for the 1058th Transportation Company in Hingham during the Gulf War and was actively involved with the American Legion Post in Hingham.

Daughter of the late Sam and Phyllis Amonte. Wife of the late Larry St. Laurent. Loving mother of Louis St. Laurent and wife Jennifer of Weymouth and Richard St. Laurent and wife Sara of Braintree. Cherished “Nana” of Kaitlyn, Anna and Matthew. Loving sister of Annette Barrett of VT and Rose Yodzio of Hingham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial at a later date.
