Diane N. Lassonde

Diane Natale Lassonde, 68, of Rockland, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on 1/1/25 after losing her battle with cancer. 

Though born in Orlando, FL, Diane’s family resided in Abington, MA where she lived for 18 years before relocating to Rockland for the last 45 years.

Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years Richard Lassonde of Rockland MA; daughter Jennifer Lassonde and her partner Daniel Litchfield of Scituate MA; son Jeffrey Lassonde, wife Melissa and grandchildren Riley, Garret and Millie of Needham MA; mother Jean Groezinger Natale of Braintree MA; sister Karen Natale Gagnon, her husband Steven and daughter Isabella of Avon MA.

She is predeceased by her father Leo W. Natale and brother Michael Natale.

Diane was self-employed for years selling for Avon, home decorating products for Home Interiors & Gifts, and later opened her own craft & gift store, Creations Unlimited. 

Subsequently, she was office manager in the Radiation Oncology at both MGH and Boston Medical Center. More recently Diane was a full-time reseller and organized/co-chaired the New England Online Sellers Meet Up Group.

Diane enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home, attending Red Sox games, concerts at the Xfinity Center, and local theater productions. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 1/9/2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday 1/10/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Bridget’s Church, Abington MA at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland.

Diane requests that attendees wear her favorite color, blue, or other colorful attire.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s memory to the FearLESS Living Fund which she established to benefit The Blind Center of Nevada.
