Diane Downing

Downing, Diane “Nina” (Cushing) of Quincy, suddenly on July 10, 2008. Loving mother of Mary Downing and her husband Thomas Bossert of New Jersey. Catherine Downing – Collins and her husband Peter of South Boston, Walter Downing of Cambridge, Elizabeth Bogusz and her husband Steven of Scituate and Michael Downing and his wife Kelly of Cambridge. Sister of Edward Cushing of ME, Donna Strausser of Georgia, Norma Roche of Quincy, Heidi Cournoyer of Brockton, Anna Griffin of Mattapan and the late Daniel Cushing. Beloved grandmother Kathryn & Molly Bogusz and Eva Collins. Diane was a Quincy resident for the past 14 years. She grew up in Dorchester and also lived in Watertown and Milton. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing cards and most recently enjoyed walking. More importantly she was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Wednesday 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Gregory’s Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester on Thursday at 10am. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
