Christian,Gregory S, Deputy Sheriff, Suffolk County Sheriffs Department, of Quincy, passed away July 23, 2012. Greg is survived by his loving family, Kristen Harvey and their 3 children, Thomas, Jenna, and Julia. Beloved Son-in-law of Robert F. and Susan P. Harvey of Quincy. Brother-in-law of Karen Harvey of Quincy, Jennifer Harvey of Bridgewater, and the late Bobby Harvey. Son of Valerie Michaud and her husband, Steven of Hull, and the late W. Peter Christian. Brother of Christopher Scanlan of Brockton, Amy Thomas and her husband Wayne, of Mississippi. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Greg took tremendous pride in being a Deputy for the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. He was a proud member of Suffolk County Correction Officers Union local # 419. Greg was assigned to the Field Supervision Unit and received numerous Citations / Commendations for Bravery, Acts of Valor and Professional conduct. Greg was also a member of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Honor guard. Greg’s tireless devotion, commitment and effort to our department as well as other Law Enforcement Agencies across the Commonwealth will be sorely missed. He was a graduate of Hull High School class of 1991. Greg’s passing will leave a tremendous void to all who were fortunate enough to know him and share in his life. Greg you are gone but will never be forgotten. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday from 4- 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10AM Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian Children’s Fund, c/c Quincy Credit Union, 100 Quincy Ave, Quincy, MA 02169
