Dennis Patrick Hart

Dennis Patrick Hart, of Brookline, formerly of Osterville, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury. He was 66.

Dennis was born in Boston on April 28, 1958, and was the son of the late Henry James Hart and the late Jean (Gallagher) Cooley. He was raised in Foxboro and attended local schools. 

Following high school, Dennis enlisted in the United States Army on July 20, 1976. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged on July 26, 1979. 

Dennis had two careers, his first being in the food service industry. He managed Mrs. C’s Restaurant in Osterville for many years. Dennis later managed other restaurants in Boston, Canton and Brockton. After retiring from the food service industry, he started working as a painting contractor until retiring in 2014. 

Dennis enjoyed building guitars and model cars, he loved music, working on computers, flight simulators, and golfing. 

Dennis was the beloved brother of Kathleen DiFabio and her husband Michael of Hingham, Anne Creed and her husband Jeff of Plymouth, and Christopher Cooley and his wife Michelle of Marstons Mills. He is predeceased by his brother James Hart and survived by his sister-in-law Cindy Hart of Ossipee, NH. He was the devoted uncle of Nicholas Rocco and his wife Joanna of Hingham, Jillian Rocco of Weymouth, Matthew Rocco of Allston, Jessica Christianson and her husband Kyle of Duxbury, Daniel Creed of Holbrook, and the late Anthony Rocco. Dennis is also survived by many loving great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, September 8, 2024, 10-12 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. 

His funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 12 PM in Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, Hingham. Cremation will follow.

Dennis will be interred privately in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
