Denise Murnane, a longtime resident of Hingham, formerly of Marshfield and Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on February 2, 2025. She was 73.
Denise was born and raised in Quincy and moved to Hingham in the 10th grade and went on to graduate from Hingham High School. After high school, she earned her associates from Quincy Junior College. She would go on to work as a Paraprofessional for the Plymouth and Duxbury school systems for many years. She remained in Hingham until her marriage to John Murnane in 1975. The two would go on to settle in Marshfield and then Plymouth for about 30 years. She moved back to Hingham and would remain there for 8 years before her passing.
She also had a special bond with her family, whether she was traveling to Hawaii and Colorado to visit loved ones or creating lifelong memories with her daughters on a trip to Italy. Denise had a special affection for all children. Even during her declining years, she would light up in the presence of children and often spark up a conversation. When she was home, she would rest comfortably with a baby doll in her arms. Denise worked part-time at Kingston Animal Hospital, where her love for animals shone brightly. Whether she was caring for furry friends or providing them with a forever home, her deep affection for animals was one of her defining traits.
A lover of music and dancing, Denise filled her life with rhythm and joy. She also had a knack for finding a good bargain, always excited by a great deal. Whether shopping for a treasure or simply enjoying a day out, she found joy in the little things that others might overlook.
Beloved wife of 49 years to John Murnane of Hingham. Devoted mother to 2 daughters and 1 son. Adoring Nonni to 5 grandchildren. Cherished daughter of Carole DiSalvo-O’Connell and her late husband John.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Thursday, 2/13/2025, from 9-10:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
