Denise M. Hattenburg

Hattenburg, Denise M. of Quincy, died suddenly on May 17, 2013.

Beloved wife of Charles Hattenburg of Quincy.  Loving mother of Linda L. Hattenburg of Winthrop, Lisa M. Hattenburg of Quincy, Darlene “De De” Hattenburg of Quincy, Scott B. Hattenburg and his wife Jacqueline Nauyokas- Hattenburg of Milford, NH, and Charles P. Hattenburg, Jr. of Worcester. Sister of Ann Marie Claflin of Newton, Rosemary O’Neil of Quincy and Edward Youngclaus of Hanson. More of a Sister than a Sister in law, Darcey Cushing of Quincy.  Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Austin, David, Dylan, Kaylah, Bobbie, Alj, Jeffrey Jr., Sidney, Matthew, Olivia, Evan, Nicholas, Mary, Elizabeth, Christopher, Clare, Julia, Joseph, Theresa, Colin, Ryan, Catherine and Michael.  Great-grandmother of Mariana. Denise is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Denise was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester and South Boston before settling in Quincy 19 years ago. Denise worked for Human Service Options in Weymouth for 22 years as a special needs care provider. Her family will remember Denise as a woman who loved caring for others, always putting other people first, especially those with special needs. She took her job to another level by spending extensive time with her clients ensuring every day was lived to the fullest. Denise enjoyed capturing memories through taking and displaying pictures. She had a special admiration for Elvis and Kenny Rogers. Denise was a purely unique woman with a kind spirit that could only offer good things to anyone she came in contact with.  Most of all Denise loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Cremation will follow.
