Delphine G. Callahan

Callahan, Delphine Gloria (Carfagna) of Largo, FL, formerly of Hingham died on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the age of 98. Wife of the late Edmund R. Callahan. A loving mother to Edmund of Hanson, Joseph of Hull, Frederick of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ellenore Nichols of Duxbury and Maureen of Largo, FL. Loved by her 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sister Phyllis Brackley of Hingham, and the late Alfred Carfagna, Americo Garfagna, Joseph Garfagna and Angelo Carfagna. Daughter to the late Elena and Joseph Carfagna. Delphine emigrated from Italy with her parents when she was 3. She worked hard all her life to provide for her family. She was devoted to her family and loved gardening, dancing and music. Delphine will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday, October 05, 2010 4 – 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, October 06, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
