Debra A. Hughes

Debra A. “Debbie” Hughes of Weymouth, passed away suddenly surrounded by her family and close friends on January 26, 2016. She was 64 years old. She will be remembered for her overwhelming ability to bring joy to those around her.

Debbie was an inspiration to those she loved and to every life she touched. What she loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren, Amelia, Alicia and Leo. Debbie’s smile, laughter, kindness and unselfish love for her family and friends will forever live in our hearts. She had a strong devotion and love for her church and served her faith in many ways. Her marriage to Michael was a testament to the love and friendship they had together and was a guiding light to their Catholic faith.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael T. Hughes; daughter Jennifer Baumann and son-in-law Michael Baumann, of Holbrook; son Michael P. Hughes and daughter-in-law Danielle (Barrierre) Hughes, of Weymouth; grandchildren Amelia and Alicia Baumann and Leo Hughes; sisters Maureen (Ritchie) Cook of Mashpee and Karen Edwards of Plymouth, her late parents Clayton and Mary (Kelly) Ritchie, of Weymouth; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
