In Loving Memory of Debbie Schmoker

Debbie Schmoker, 63, passed peacefully after a courageous and long battle with being sick, having bravely fought against multiple bouts of cancer. She faced each challenge with remarkable strength, resilience, and an unshakable spirit.

Debbie’s daughter, Alli, was her greatest joy and pride. She often said Alli was her world, and the kindness and determination that Debbie embodied live on through her. Debbie is also survived by her sister, Cindy, who was a deeply cherished part of her life, and her ex-husband, Danny, who remained a constant and supportive presence.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth, her father, James, and her brother, Jimmy—losses that shaped her into the strong and compassionate woman she was.

Debbie loved her brother Lenny. She was also grateful for the companionship of Don, who stood by her side through much of her battle, offering comfort and strength when she needed it most.

Debbie had a fiery spirit, always spunky and full of life. Her energy, humor, and genuine warmth made her unforgettable. She had a rare ability to make everyone around her feel loved.

A passionate animal advocate, Debbie had a love for animals, especially her dog Scruffy. Her compassion extended to all creatures.

Debbie was deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from the Brigham nurses and the hospice staff at Accent Care. Their kindness brought her comfort and peace.

In honor of her life and her love for animals, please consider a donation to the Quincy Animal Shelter.

Though she’s no longer with us, Debbie’s love and memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. As Stevie Wonder sang in Stay Gold, “Stay gold, stay gold, stay gold…” Her golden heart will shine brightly forever.

Rest in peace, Debbie. You will always be in our hearts.

At the request of Debbie all services will be private.
