Deborah Jean Gates

Gates, Deborah J. (Kelley) of Boston, died December 9, 2016.

Deborah was a retired Nurse from Dana Farber and later stayed home to raise her family.  She was a youth soccer coach, taught CCD and was a member of the board for Pembroke Youth Hockey.  Deborah enjoyed knitting, reading, her cats and dogs and cooking for her family, especially Thanksgiving.  Her main passion in life was her family.  She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Beloved wife of 32 years to James E. Gates of Dorchester.  Loving mother of James M. Gates of Quincy, David W. Gates of Quincy and Jennifer A. Murphy and her husband Patrick of Weymouth. Cherished Nina of Lillian M. Irvine of Weymouth.  Devoted sister-in-law and aunt to many. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 8:30-10:00 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Cedar Grove, Dorcester.
