Simonson, Deborah J. “Debi” (Jenkins) of Hingham, July 26, 2007. Beloved wife of Glenn E. Simonson of Hingham. Loving sister of James Jenkins of Plymouth, Pat Watson of VA and the late Barbara Jenkins. Cherished aunt of James Jenkins, Jr., Robert Jenkins, Kim Nickerson, Carrie Lee Reilly, Matthew Watson, Lt. Col. Sean Jenkins, Lisa Pelchat, Andrea Andersen, and Christopher Watson. Also survived by 13 grand nieces, grand nephews and many close friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham, Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Cremation will follow. Prior to her work at Perot Systems, Debi worked at Wearguard in Norwell, U.S. Trust in Boston and Talbot’s in Hingham. She dedicated her life to her famIly and their three Golden Retrievers, Katie, Matt & Carly. She especially loved her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Debi and her husband were involved in raising, training, competing and supporting research of Golden Retrievers. They donated to the Golden Retriever Foundation, a charity dedicated to finding the cure of diseases within the breed. She was proud of her dogs accomplishments and won several awards for their training. She belonged to the Yankee Golden Retriever Club, Colonial Field Trial Retriever Club, Yankee Waterfowlers Hunting Retriever Club and the Golden Retriever Club of America. Her family describes Debi as animated with sparkling eyes, she had the ability to make the simple extraordinary, she posessed a great sense of humor, was pure at heart, genuine and honest. She contributed to and donated time to the Trustees of Reservations and the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. She was also a member of the South Shore Viking Association. Debi graduted from Hingham High School in 1969 and the Katherine Gibbs School in 1971. Donations in memory of Debi may be made to the Golden Retriever Foundation, PO Box 3462, Omaha, NE 68103.
