Dawn Marie Jenkins

Dawn Marie Jenkins, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in Quincy, Massachusetts on September 14, 2024. A true beacon of love and loyalty, Dawn's life was a beautiful tapestry woven from her unwavering dedication to her family, her joyous spirit, and her commitment to her work as a Legal Secretary, most recently at Gaughen, Gaughen, Lane and Hernando.

Born on October 25, 1960, in Boston, Massachusetts, Dawn grew to become a strong and independent woman who was adored by all who knew her. Her hard work and fierce dedication were evident in every aspect of her life. She chose to work until she could no longer do so, finding joy in being productive and contributing to her workplace. Yet, it was her role as a mother and grandmother that truly defined her.

Dawn was a pillar of strength for her family, always putting others before herself. Her son Gregory and his wife Alison, along with her daughter Amanda and her fiancé Jeremiah Gibbs, will forever remember her warmth, guidance and honesty. As a grandmother, she brought immense joy to her six grandchildren: James Ryan Jenkins, Thomas Peter Jenkins, late grandson Matthew McNeill Jenkins, Josie Mae Gibbs, and Theodore Thomas Gibbs. The love she poured into their lives was palpable, as she relished every moment spent together, whether it was sharing a meal or simply enjoying each other's company.

Dawn's love for family extended beyond her immediate relatives; her late father Harry Bott, late mother Claire "Dolly" Richards, late husband Thomas Jenkins, a special bond with her late step-father George "Duke" Richards, sister Debbie, brother David, and her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her family, Dawn cherished her two beloved dogs, Cash and Rocky, who were a source of companionship and joy in her life. She had a playful spirit, known for her sense of humor and ability to make those around her smile..

Dawn passed away on her wedding anniversary, a day that once held joyful memories now forever marked with her absence. Her legacy of dedication and determination will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Keohane Funeral Home in 785 Hancock St. Quincy, MA on September 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Keohane Funeral Home in Quincy, MA. A Mass celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish in St. Ann's Church, also in Quincy. Cremation will follow.
