David “Red” Goodwin

Mr. David “Red” Goodwin of Weymouth, passed away on April 5, 2024.

David (Red) was a proud Army veteran of the Korean war. A carpenter by trade, he was a fun loving family man and a very big part of his grandchildren and great grandchildren lives. Known as “Grampy” to everyone. He loved his dogs Rocky and Diego.

He loved to travel and camp and was dedicated to his carpentry business. Willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

Red will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him. 

Son of the late Richard and Muriel Goodwin

Beloved husband of the late Julia G. (Higgins) Goodwin.

Loving father of Susan P. Perrin and her husband Jason, of Whitefield. 

Brother of Franny of Weymouth, and the late Harold, Richard, Robert, Roland, and Ralph.

Cherished Grampy to Kristen and Nicholas Routhier.

Also survived by 8 great grandchildren, Amaya Meeks, Ava Marsh, Aria Marsh, Addyson Marsh, Alexandria Routhier, Amira Graham, Noah Routhier, and Trinity Routhier.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, April 11th from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). 

Graveside Services will be held on Friday April 12th at 12:30 PM at the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne. Please arrive at the funeral home at 11 AM to leave in procession.
