David Marshall Higgins, of Randolph, died peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. He was 63.
Born in Boston on March 4, 1959, he was the son of the late Leroy and Jean (Marshall) Higgins. David was the loving brother of Roy Higgins and his wife Lisa of Groton and Susan Higgins of Sanbornton, New Hampshire. He was the dear uncle of Christopher Barrett of Washington, Timothy Higgins of Texas and Matthew Higgins of Boston. David is also survived by many close friends and caregivers.
David was known for giving the best hugs, and loved going to church with his parents at the United Methodist Church. He was an individual with exceptional behavior-was very calm, loving, and compassionate towards others. David loved dancing, and during the peak days of COVID, staff would play music from YouTube and David, staff and his housemates would just dance. He would be the first to get up to dance and he will walk to the other housemates and encourage them to join in. David was a very caring person especially to his housemates. He was more like a big brother to all of them. David liked making sure the house routines were followed and he was very loving like a big brother would be. In the morning he would shake hands with everyone in the house then sit on his favorite couch waiting for the transportation company to take him to his day program. David really enjoyed going to his day program and spending time with his friends there. David loved life, enjoyed watching wrestling, walks in D.W. field park after going to his favorite restaurant the Boston Market. David had a deep love for his housemates and cherished the time they would spend together. He will be missed by all his friends and staff at Amego.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, May 13, 2022, 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
