David Loughmiller

Loughmiller, David “Dave” of Holbrook, passed away at South Shore Hospital on December 12, 2023. He was 73.

Born in 1950, he was the son of the late Leon and Elaine (Roscoe) Loughmiller.

Dave graduated from Weymouth North High School. Right before his twentieth birthday, Dave enlisted in the Navy where he served for six years. Upon returning home, he went to work with his father at the gas station his father owned. Several years later he met his wife Michele Kelly. The two married and welcomed two beautiful sons, Dan and Andrew. While his sons were young Dave enjoyed taking his family on various outings such as to amusement parks, local fairs, and Peter’s Pond.

He was a hard worker who held many jobs during his life, but especially enjoyed his work caring for people with disabilities. Dave was a kind natured man who was content with the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending his days listening to music, watching familiar movies, catching up on the news and talking with friends and family. Dave had a quirky sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a lovely man that will be surely missed by all who knew him.

Loving husband of 42 years to Michele (Kelly) Loughmiller of Holbrook. Cherished father to Daniel Loughmiller and Andrew Loughmiller, both of Holbrook. Brother to Mark Loughmiller of Quincy and Janice King and her husband Leonard of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service to directly follow at 6:00 PM.
