McGrath of Braintree, Colin M. McGrath of Quincy and stepfather of Glen M. Misho of Quincy. Beloved son of the late David McGrath and Mary Tracey. Loving brother of Bernard McGrath of Randolph, Mary Harper of Somerville, Michele Johnson of Weymouth, Christopher McGrath of Somerville, John McGrath of Warwick, RI, Richard Mulcahy of Hanover, Jeremiah Mulcahy of Quincy and Donna Sullivan-Mock of Quincy. Cherished son-in-Law of John and Claire Contos of Quincy. Beloved brother-in-law of Jack Contos and his wife Geri of Quincy, Gregory Contos and his wife Josephine of Littleton and the late Michael Contos. Beloved nephew of the late Joan Mulcahy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 11 AM. David received most of his enjoyment in life from his family. They describe him as a self made man who was caring, compassionate, loving, generous and dependable. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed a wide circle of close friends. He was proud of the fact that he was an independent contractor. His renovation project work was well known in the Newton/Wellesley area of MA. He enjoyed and attended several concerts of the Rolling Stones. David was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots sports fan. He loved the beach, especially Cape Cod. He traveled extensively and enjoyed the Caribbean Islands. David was a 1978 graduate of Christopher Columbus High School in the North End, where he excelled in football. He was a 1980 graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology with an Associates Degree in Construction.
