Sten, David Brian of Quincy, December 26, 2009. Son of the late John W. Sten and Eileen V. (Young). Brother of Richard D. Sten of NJ and the late Albert J. Sten. Brother in law of Faith (Luciano) Sten and Marilyn (Kerrien) Sten. Uncle of Karl J. Sten of NJ, Tracy Hacker of NY, John Sten of MA, Erika Sten of NY and Kristine Oliver of NY. David was a graduate of Quincy High School, St. Thomas Moore Prep and the University of Pittsburgh. He was an excellent athlete who threw a no-hitter in baseball, received several scholarship offers for football and set the discus record in IL. David enjoyed fishing, a cup of coffee and a winning lottery ticket. His participation thru South Shore Mental Health, in workshops and discovery programs, enriched his life. Vinfen, of Weymouth, became family to Dave, allowing him to achieve purpose, pride and independence. For those involved in David’s life throughout the years, each and everyone had a special place in his heart. He was a man of few words but a smile from him would fill your heart. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Saturday, from 10 – 12 Noon in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY followed by a funeral service at 12 Noon. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
