David B. Linskey

Linskey, David B. of Milton, died June 6, 2023.

David loved his family and friends and had many interests.

He loved to cook and especially enjoyed cooking with friends.  He loved decorating cookies with his dearest niece Nina, making homemade ice cream with freshly picked strawberries, and dipping caramel apples. He was adventurous and enjoyed learning new techniques, like learning from his friend Phen, how to cook the perfect rice. He loved trying new gadgets, sampling new cuisines and could talk for hours about his favorite recipes.

In recent years, David enjoyed woodworking and started turning wood in his woodshop, making bowls and pens that he gifted to friends and family.  He was a member of the Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners club and served for a brief time as an editor for their “As the Wood Turns” newsletter.

Early in his career, he worked at the Flower Exchange in Boston where he developed his lifelong love of flowers and beautiful things.  He had a great eye. Receiving a gift from David made you feel special. Not only did he have the knack for picking out the perfect gift, but he decorated it beautifully.

David was a sports fan, adored his pets, enjoyed tinkering on computers and loved taking long drives with the top down in his convertable.

At WareRite Distributors in East Bridgewater, he worked as an IT Manager where he took pride in his work and was a self-taught programmer.

David made friends easily in many circles. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Son of the late James and Dorothea (Wentworth) Linskey. Loving brother of Edward Linskey of Milton, Martha Linskey of Boston, Larry Linskey and his wife Mary of Quincy, George Linskey and his wife Jackie of Athol, Maura Wilder and her husband Bill of Needham, Joan Wortman and her husband Dennis of Cambridge, Christine Etler and her husband Dave of Iowa, and the late Ford Stokes, Thomas Stokes, and the late James Paul Linskey Jr.  He leaves behind his extended family,  Misty Florez and her husband John Livornese and their daughter Nina. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, and his revered pets past and present including Bonnie, Clyde, Emanon, and Brandy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
