David Allen O’Connell

David Allen O’Connell of Quincy 46 years old passed away at home with family at his bedside on February 17, 2018.

Devoted husband of wife Erika O’Connell, and son David O’Connell Jr both of Quincy. He is also survived by mother Lillian O’Connell of Quincy and brother Martin O’Connell and his wife Lisa O’Connell of Carver and many nieces and nephews.

Davey was a long time tunnel worker and worked with Local 88 in Quincy for many years. He enjoyed telling stories of the Big Dig Project. His greatest accomplishment in life and what he took the most pride in was watching his son grow up.

Gratitude and appreciation sent to all the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital Transplant Unit Blake 6 for the exceptional care they provided to Davey over the last year.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy
