Carter, David A. of Holbrook formerly of Quincy, January 7, 2007. The beloved husband of the late Jacqueline M. (Griffith) Carter. Loving father of Christine A., Michelle M. and David B. Carter all of Holbrook. Brother of Bryant L. Carter, Jr of Quincy and Lewann E. and her husband Vincent Mina of Quincy. Son in law of Robert & Florence Griffith of Quincy. Brother in law of Paul & Mary Griffith and Kathy & Michael O’Brien all of Quincy. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 11 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-9 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of David may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701. David was born in Quincy and lived in Quincy until moving to Holbrook 28 years ago. He was the son of the late Bryant L. Carter, Sr. and the late Helen E. (Eaton) Carter, both longtime residents of Quincy. David worked as a medical supply driver for H. Eric Richards in Stoughton. He also worked as an oil burner technician for Atlantic Pratt and Nightingale Oil in Braintree for many years. David coordinated and coached the Holbrook Girls Softball League for over 15 years. He was a member of the Standish Sportsman Association in East Bridgewater. He was the past Master Councillor of Old Colony Chapter of Demolay. David was a life member of the Grand Lodge of Masons. He was a devoted husband to his late wife Jacqueline and proud father to his three children, and a loving brother. Both David and his late wife Jacqueline loved to vacation at Lake Ossippee in New Hampshire.
