HALLISEY – Darlene E. (Kearney), of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on August 27, 2022.

Darlene was born in Hingham. She was a hard worker and held many titles over the years. Darlene was a traffic supervisor in Quincy, business owner of D.E.H. General Contracting and a Phlebotomist. Always a tidy woman, Darlene was an excellent mom and homemaker. She enjoyed working on arts and crafts, cooking for family, and liked to travel.

Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Frederick P. Hallisey. After the passing of her husband, Darlene remained in her home with her daughter, Sharlene M. Cellini and her husband, Joe of South Weymouth. Loving mother to John S. Balonis, Frederick P. Hallisey II and Ellen of South Weymouth, Lisa M. Bohmbach and Robert of East Taunton, and Anne M. Hallisey of South Weymouth. Dear sister of Marilyn Petit of New Hampshire and the late Joan Smith, Eleanore Ebitson and George Johnson. Devoted Grandmother to six grandchildren whom she adored; Scott Balonis, Joseph Cellini and his fiance Emily Chambers, Teresa Santos and her husband, Cody, Ariana Cellini, Molly Hallisey and Frederick P. Hallisey III. Great Grandmother to Mia Belle Cellini, and Mia and Kane Santos.

Lifelong friend of Cookie Shaheen and Lynne Allen of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A very special thanks for the love and support of Lisa Pike and Beatrice Janvier. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday September 6, 2022 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday September 7, 2022 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. After the conclusion of the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to meet Darlene’s family for a burial procession. Friends and family that would like to join the procession should return to the McDonald Keohane Funeral home by 11:35 AM for an 11:45 departure to the MA National Cemetery, Bourne with the burial ceremony occurring at 1:15 PM.

Donations may be made in Darlene’s memory to Norwell NVNA & Hospice; 120 Longwater Drive Norwell, MA 02061.
